Hi all,Thanks for your hints, unfortunately none of them helped. you have successfully selected the person or object that the drone is supposed to track during the QuickShot you have selected the QuickShot mode (iirc dronie, rocket and perhaps helix support distance configuration) So please note that you can't configure the distance unless NEW: Click on this box and configure the distance that the drone should use for the current QuickShot video! Solution for configuring the QuickShot distance with a newer DJI flight app release (1.6.9 and perhaps some earlier, using a Mini2. ![]() Moreover the setting is now incosistent with the timer/interval selection in photo mode, for which the submenu still opens at the left). However, thanks to Manfred from the DJI Support hotline we have a solution - he did a great job, started his own Mini2 and figured out the issue: DJI silently changed the user interface (btw: I wonder why DJI does not communicate such essential interface changes to users - at least I did not find any release notes that could shed light on this. The lighting is extremely low ( 10,000 lux). ![]() When the subject is similar in color or pattern with the surroundings.į. When the subject is more than 50 m away from the aircraft.Ĭ. It is practically impossible to use this one for our purposes, it is intended for a largely stationary subject or object.Hello there nogooo. BoomerangĭC Rainmaker found this very difficult because it has to be perfectly timed, as the drone flies in a staggered circle while flying up and down. You are combining a circle while going up which makes this one very difficult for a follow-shot. A higher altitude may help you track your subject longer. This is a toucher mode to make work for tracking a moving subject. Traditionally, this mode would be used to guide the drone around a subject in a circle pattern. In those first few seconds, the Mini 2 is a bit slow in tracking as it familiarizes itself with your subject.ĭC Rainmaker makes a solid point that you want to monitor your subject’s speed, as these modes do not allow you to adjust the speed of the drone, and you will be working with what these modes can handle against full ActiveTrack 2.0 / 3.0 from drones like the Mavic 2 Pro or DJI Air 2S. It starts a countdown of 3 seconds, but wait another 3 seconds to make sure the drone has a solid lock on your subject. This setting is independent of other modes and I wanted to address this so that you are not disappointed to find the drone in a lower resolution than you expected. This is a good time to check if your camera is set to 1080P or 4K. Tap this green dot, and it should draw a field around your subject. Now that the drone is facing your subject it should show a green dot on the person or object you want to film. He recommends starting with a Dronie Quick Shot, because it’s easiest to understand when you are getting started with this technique. ![]() I learned how this works from YouTuber DC Rainmaker.
